Mommy SOS | Flower Girl
Jan 17, 2011
Just this past week Nora was asked by one of our dear friends to be her flower girl in her upcoming July wedding. We were so honored by her request and are thankful to be asked to be a part of their big day. It's sure to be a wonderful wedding.
But...then I started thinking...how in the world am I going to get our rambunctious going to be two-year old to do her flower girl responsibilities? Namely walking down the aisle.
Obviously if we had a child that sat still for more than 2-seconds and obeyed everything we said it would be a different story. We don't.
So... I need your mommy advice. What can we do to help prepare Nora for being a flower girl in July? I fully realize that we have plenty of time but I was just thinking about it and thought better now than never :)

In my own humble opinion don't stress about the big day. Kids have a way of changing the best laid plans. just make sure you have lots of snacks and new toys that day for her to play with and ...pray. :0) Go with the flow and enjoy the ride! Blessings, Joanne
Joanne - I think that's great advice! Trying not to get nervous....Nora's just a little crazy (in a good way of course).
hi! And what a cute flower girl she will be. Miriam was a flower girl at 18 Months and this is how I did it. We had a special very small stuffed animal that Daddy would give to her and then it would be her job to find Mommy and give the stuffed animal to Mommy. We did this over and over until the big day. So on the big day all Joab had to do at the back of the church was say- go give Mommy the stuffed animal and away she went (she actually ran!) to give Mommy the stuffed animal at the front of the church. I then helped her to the front where she sat. It worked like a charm :)
