our first week

5) We never thought that getting two straight hours of sleep could feel so good.
4) We never thought we'd celebrate over a dirty diaper.
3) We never thought we'd be so surprised by the love and support we received upon Nora's entrance into this world. Thank you so much for all of you who have visited, called and sent cards and well wishes. We really do feel surrounded by so much love.
2) We never thought our little princess could change so much in just 7 short days. We're learning that my boss truly was right in saying that in parenting, the days are long but the years are short.
1) Most importantly, we never thought we could love someone as much as we do. It's amazing how quickly the bond between a father and mother and their child begins.

thanks for the update! It truly is an amazing journey! Enjoy it! I woke my almost 4 year old up from nap today amazed that he grew up! I remember when you guys came over when he was first born.
Cute top 5 idea! I never knew how much newborns hiccuped and coughed and gagged and sneezed! At JJ's 1 week appt I made sure to ask the doc if all that was 'normal'!!!! Nora is SO PRECIOUS! Love this picture of her!

yah, it's all amazing, yeah?! People laughed when we would get excited over a poopy diaper (and sneezes and toots), but it means their little body is working and it's so amazing! :)
Wait until you get 4 hours of straight sleep again...you'll feel like you slept for weeks! ;)
we love you guys and cannot wait to see you! The countdown has started....I hope you are having fun with your parents! :)
